Early Childhood Education Early Childhood Education is designed to prepare students to directly enter a number of fields related to the care and guidance of young children and provides the foundation for the students to enter higher education to work in fields such as elementary education, social work, psychology, etc. The course of study includes but is not limited to: planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, guidance and discipline, health and safety, growth and development, community and social problems, basic psychology, program management, Dept of Public Welfare regulations, and professionalism.
