Construction Trades

The Construction Trades program provides training in multiple skills needed to build, repair, and maintain industrial, commercial, and residential building systems.  Maintenance Technicians perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair structural, plumbing, electrical, masonry, carpentry, and welding systems, which may involve the utilization of blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts catalogs, and repair manuals.  Students will study the fundamentals of carpentry, pipefitting, electrical, plumbing, and welding and masonry from maintenance and repair perspectives.  Advanced students will construct a modular home through quality techniques unique to modular construction.  Green Building Environmental considerations and resource efficiency will be incorporated into every step of the building process.
